Breathe

At the risk of sounding really dorky, something that helps me a lot is remembering to breathe. If I’m headed towards the fridge or carb cabinet due to stress or emotional trauma or just plain chocolate lust, I can sometimes head myself off by stopping, closing my eyes, and focusing on breathing deeply in and out five times.
