Today’s weight: Dunno, I’ll weigh in tomorrow. Last night’s dinner was a little unrestrained and I barely moved except for some yard work. Then I was up until 1:30 watching “Godfather: Part II” with Sam and Ken so I got crappy sleep. This morning Kate and I have outlined an ambitious ambulatory schedule so I hope to undo some of the putative damage.
Today I am grateful for: 1) My tomatoes, which are now ripening enough that I can meander out to the Back Forty and select a few daily. 2) The opening of Ramsey Farm, our local produce purveyor, so corn will be a more frequent option. 3) Hearing crickets at night.
No gym today, so no gym monitor gleanings, but in brief, here’s some fun stuff:
* Let’s look at: A mega-stack of blueberry pancakes, on account of how it’s National Blueberry Month!
* Ha of the day: This made me snork.
* Aw of the day: Check out this lil dude rocking it out to Wil.I.Am on Sesame Street!
I have Special Feelings
I’m going to hold off on weighing in until Thursday. Today Kirby leaves for camp, tomorrow Roger and I go off to Seattle for three days to visit with friends and see the Yankees/Mariners series. I’m sure my friends have a scale, but I have Special Feelings about my own scale, and will trust no other scale in the way I trust my scale. I eschew the Other Scales of the world.
Today I’m grateful for: 1) cool mornings, sunny afternoons: the Portland weather equation for July and August; 2) The robins are back! Do they do to families a season? 3) Kirby is loving his camps. Bliss!
