Today’s weight: 178, down half a pound. My current eating strategy is to avoid sugar and alcohol. Darned if I don’t lose a little weight when I manage to stick to it.
Today I’m grateful for: 1) A Monday holiday that will make this work week much shorter, even though I will think it’s Monday all day; 2) A good night’s sleep; 3) Socks I bought from Amazon. Love them.
Thanks for the welcome backs! It’s nice to be here.
xoxo
Janet

180.6, down 1.4 of clean eating and exercise. Phew. I would really like to see the 170s by next week!!!
Gratitude:
– Two very patient children waiting for me to find what I needed at Michaels, the most confusing store on earth (to me)
- That delicious feeling of falling asleep easily
- An easy fix for my sore tooth at the dentist
I recently returned to the 170′s. C’mon down, the water is fine!
Thanks, Janet!
Hey Janet, Good to hear from you again! *:)
NWD I am much more in alignment with how much food I need to take in for the amount of energy I am using. I am already easing away form eating in the “tv” room. The finale push being when the new carpet get in.
Another day of work. I am actually back to popcorn. I had left off the master bedroom originally not knowing how hard or time consuming it wold be. Well, it rely wasn’t, so I’m back to popcorn. I’m guessing a few more days of prep then paint.
It has been 2 to 5 hours of “work” everyday. I am feeling great heaps of satisfaction. However my shoulders are starting to complain.
125.4 pounds today at 4:45am. If only I got to sleep past 7:00am, I just know I would be below 125. Alas, the early morning clients need their Pilates!
Gratitude:
-My knee feeling better today after feeling a little off from my 18-mile run on Sunday.
-NPR on my iPhone. I love, love, LOVE getting to listen to Podcasts of my favorite shows while I walk the dogs. An hour will pass before I even realize how long we’ve been walking.
-Tomorrow it’s going to be 65 degrees and sunny in St. Louis!
140.2 – down a pound from yesterday. The thought of the fancy family gathering in mid-March is motivating me to stay away from sugar and processed foods. I am turning in the broccoli queen!
Gratitude:
-The Monday holiday, although the rest of the week sometimes seems even longer.
-My ancient but reliable car charger which is keeping my car battery going until I can take the car in to find out why the battery (which is not that old) keeps draining.
-My job – I’m happy to be back at work after being away
Do you do anything special to make broccoli palatable? I’ve never liked it much. Sometimes if I roast it, I find it’s not so bad.
I love roasted broccoli but I’m usually not organized enough to remember to start roasting it. I usually default to steaming it and then spraying it with “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” and sprinkling lemon pepper on it. I like broccoli and it does keep me feeling full.
I make this recipe at least once a week (I don’ bother with the mock sour cream though). http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/RCP00235/broccoli-pancakes.html . It’s the only way I like broccoli!
Wow–that look amazing! I saved it to a new category of bookmarks called “Broccoli.” Perhaps I can collect enough recipes that I’ll actually start to like the stuff.
148.4 Up 2.2 # but figure most of the restaurant food was more heavily salted than I’m used to eating. It’ll come back off quickly now that I’m controlling what I eat again. Great weekend with the granddaughter in San Francisco.
